Our extensive experience reduces the risks commonly associated with thyroid surgery. Capital Otolaryngology will work closely with your endocrinologist and primary physician to provide comprehensive management.
Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck - Patients may present with enlarged lymph nodes in their neck. This enlargement may be due to infection but the possibility of lymph node cancer must be considered. Appropriate work-up and trials of antibiotics are necessary. We also use our in office CT scanner to thoroughly evaluate the neck mass. If the mass is suspicious for cancer, we can perform in-office fine needle aspiration biopsy. The lymph node may need to be removed to be certain of the diagnosis and for the oncologist to ascertain the best treatment. Our expert physicians at Capital Otolaryngology can remove the lymph node as a well-tolerated outpatient procedure.
